During this crazy and stressful time in our lives and being quarantined, it has brought peace to my mind to have easy access to our Governor Inslee's press conferences these last few weeks. Having a choice to read either the captions OR watch our Deaf interpreters has made the entire process painless whereas I find myself frustrated whenever Trump holds a press conference and am limited to only reading captions. I resent not having a choice with his press conferences and SO proud of OUR governor! Makes me a PROUD Washington State resident! To sweeten this whole thing, Inslee has always made a point to acknowledge the Deaf interpreters. What a true human being!
I have been pleased to see that an interpreter has been provided and that captioning has also been provided for the covid-19 press conferences. I don't watch a lot of news, so I don't know if this is usual for Washington government, but in this case it has been well done.
Please keep it up and expand to as many programs and events as possible!
I’m grateful to be able to access a information about Washington State’s response to COVID-19. It makes a huge difference being able to see an ASL interpreter and not just any interpreter but a Deaf interpreter. Their ability to convey complex information in a way that is readily understood is appreciated during times like this.
Appreciating having a real time interpreter present on screen during full emergency announcements making a significant difference allowing us to engage into being aware of what’s going on. Would like to see this happen for all announcements.
I appreciate the governor office for providing interpreters during this pandemic.. it really improves the anxiety for us and to get information in our native language in a clear and concise manner. Keep it up.
I really appreciate it during this time of the COVID19 Pandemic having access to information that is critical to me and my family's well being. Governor Inslee's press conferences and announcements he always utilizes a qualified ASL interpreter and keeps the interpreter ON camera as well as provides closed caption. In his case, he's used Deaf Interpreters which is another huge win!
