Penny and her staff were extremely helpful and accommodating in sourcing and providing an interpreter for us without question so that we could take her birth class. That kind of deaf-friendliness and desire to provide equal access is so rare.

My wife and I highly recommend her class. After literally every class we would both say "I would have NO idea about X/Y/Z if not for this class!" Wife says: "Having just given birth, I can say that while it is not possible to fully prepare for that experience, it is certainly helpful and empowering to gain some knowledge about coping techniques and what to expect in different potential labor scenarios and settings. My husband really appreciated what he learned because it meant he wasn't as scared for me during labor as he thinks he otherwise would have been. The class was very engaging, interesting, and fun as well. We looked forward to going every week and were sad when it ended. Penny is an extremely kind, sweet, knowledgeable and humble educator and I feel privileged to have learned from her. She speaks poignantly at times and I teared up on occasion because some of her wise words and stories were very moving. Penny is a living legend, and you should not miss your chance to learn from the woman who literally "wrote the book" on childbirth!
