VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital

Rachel Berman

We had an emergency with our dog after the hours, so we came to this place. We were impressed by the staff's patience and friendliness with us, although we figured it was their first time meeting Deaf people. The receptionist wasn't sure what to do at first, so I politely asked her to please communicate with us by writing things down on the paper. She was a little puzzled by that, but proceeded to do that and warmed up to us later. The vet's assistant wrote everything down on the paper and was so nice. Same with the Vet, Mark Belyeu-he was so kind, patient and made eye contact with me and Chris and wrote everything down on the paper. We appreciated that especially since we were in distress. He made us feel very comfortable, and he was so good to our dog. We will definitely come back if needed. He provided us his email address if we had any questions, and we were thrilled because sometime doctors are hard to reach.
