Every Thursday and Sunday, Bike Works hosts Volunteer Repair Parties. Volunteers come and repair bicycles for the community. The staff have always been open-minded, respectful, patient, and friendly whenever any Deaf volunteers come! They readily use clear gestures, written communications, and hands-on demonstrations. It was especially encouraging to learn that Lindsey and some others are taking ASL classes through Visually Speaking! Such thoughtful enthusiasm!
I am grateful for the safe environment Bike Works strives to provide for ALL participants and look forward to growth from the Deaf community with Bike Works.
