Starbucks

Jamie

I moved to this area and now I have been going to this Starbucks. I still miss the other Starbucks in Normal Heights but I still give this place a credit. They remember my name and they remember I'm Deaf every time I go there. One time, I forgot my breakfast order, one of the worker took the time to give it to me with a note saying "you forgot your breakfast. here it is. Have a good day." How nice is that! :)

Handy Fare

In the mood for elaborated coffee? One day I had a craving for caffeine with foamed milk so I went to this location to get my fix. When I attempted to order my drink, the barista did not quite understand me. I explained that I was deaf and the barista responded kindly with a toothy smile and immediately printed out a blank receipt and then handed it to me with a pen. When I put in my order, the barista asked how to sign "thank you" and "welcome", which I demonstrated. When my coffee was ready, the barista waved me down. I appreciated the efforts that were made.
