I love coming to Catoctin Mountain Orchard especially during picking season. A month ago I came and picked blueberries and cherries for the first time. I paid  a$2 for a carriage ride out to where the cherries trees were located. I had so much fun that I filled my metal bucket in jobs time. Of course after arriving home I gave a lot of fruit away as I had more than enough at home.  All the fruit, vegetables and baked goods are fresh and delicious. The location is right off of route 15 just north of Thurmont, MD. 
I returned today to purchase a few items along with McCutcheon's strawberry jam and some good chunky salsa. Every so often it's worthwhile to make a trip and join in the seasonal fruit pickings. I forgot to mention they have flowers for people to cut and purchase as well. Hope to see you there next time!
