Starbucks

Impressive service. Some workers know ASL. Very patient with communication! The best experience I've had with any starbucks!

The employees are always conscious of looking at me when they speak to me, so I can read their lips. Once in a while there is even one employee who knows sign language! I typically use my phone to display my order and I never have any problems.

This starbucks at NOMA store is super deaf-friendly! (The nearest Starbucks establish from Gallaudet) Starbucks employees wear shirts with 'Starbucks' finger-spelled on the back! Their serve-in cafe cups are also printed in ASL. And more importantly, the employees are not afraid to communicate with deaf customers. They are eager to learn more signs and will ask away! I appreciate their positive attitude and knowledge. Keep it up!
