As a Deaf person, I often find myself switching between communication modes (Signing, writing, speaking/lipreading, etc) depending on the situation. I rarely every switch between writing and voice in a customer service setting since oftentimes once I speak, retail employees become very confused and refuse to write back to me, despite my attempts explaining that although I speak, I am STILL Deaf. However, at Alpine Hut, the owner Kyle and all of his staff were very understanding. They intuitively followed MY communication preferences and were very respectful, regardless of how I expressed myself in that moment. I felt very comfortable in all of our communication exchanges over two days with absolutely no frustration.
Deaf-friendliness, in addition to knowledge and customer service, plays a huge part of where I choose to do business. Alpine Hut had what I wanted and I bought the bicycle! I couldn't be more happy with my experience there and I will recommend them to my friends. Thank you.
