I've had both positive and negative experiences with the interpreters sent by this agency for my appointments, interviews, and meetings in the last few years. On one hand, some of the interpreters I had were not qualified/skilled with interpreting. For example, I had one interpreter make a lot of mistakes in an important job interview & it reflected badly upon me. Luckily, one of the interviewers knew enough basic ASL at that time to write down what I was really saying (compared to what was interpreted) to show the other interviewer after I was done. On the other hand, I've had some wonderful interpreters who are skilled and comfortable with their position as in knowing when to speak up or not (ex. asking to sit/stand in a better location). Hopefully there can be a better way of sharing feedback so others can be aware of which interpreters fit the best with certain situations.
