rgb is a locally-grown landmark. we make alcohol-free ginger sodas in 7+ varieties. we offer rgb-based cocktails, floats, and boozy floats. our frozen moscow mules are a big hit in the summer, while our hot toddy made with our blood orange ginger beer) is a fantastic cold-weather treat.

I love this place. The non-alcoholic ginger beer is fantastic and I'm always rotating between the white peach, pink guava, and passionfruit vanilla. The fries and myriad dipping sauces are a fun nom to indulge in too.  But my absolute favorite thing to order isn't food or drinks at all, it's the soft serve in a cone they have available. Seriously, what's in that stuff? It's cranked out crack in a cone. Their 12th Avenue location is open, bright, and airy, with tons of different kinds of seating from bar seating, to booths, to tables and chairs. Gets a bit chilly at times but that might have more to do with eating ice cream in the winter months than anything else. 

Food and environment aside, the staff are the real stars here. They're super friendly, flexible about communication (some sign, some gesture, some write back and forth) and always treat me like I'm their favorite customer.  I've had nothing but consistently deaf-friendly experiences here, no matter the day/time I go in or who is working. I tell all my friends about this place and they end up raving about it too.

This is one of my favorite venues to visit. I gave my order in ASL and it was a flawless experience where I could enjoy my drinks without any barrier even after a couple of rounds. They took deaffriendly training and actually incorporated everything they learned. They had a printed and laminated menu that made it easy to point out orders if the servers didn’t sign, which was much more convenient than having to point on the wall menu. If you ever are in the Capitol Hill area, be sure to check this place out!

A friend and I went to Rachel's Ginger Beer one night and when I ordered for a drink with my "Deaf" accent and gestures, the red haired guy at cashier suddenly used basic ASL! I was surprised and pleased! Hooray for hiring people that know ASL, whether fluent or basic, It'd be amazing if every single employee at Rachel's Ginger Beer knows ASL! Oh...of course their ginger beers are AMAZEBALLS!
