Paragon Seattle

Shannon was our server and when she realized we were deaf, she threw her hands up and signed to us. Although a little rusty, she gets an A for effort! :) Thanks Shannon!!

Wow! I went here with a group of deaf woman the other night to enjoy some drinks and they made communication so easy starting with the hostess who took us to our table, to the waitresses and bartender. Huge props to the bartender that night who once realizing we were deaf, was not afraid to approach us and take our order. He brought the menu right to us for our pointing pleasure and did everything with ease and respect. I only wish I would have gotten his name. He was the only Asian bartender that night. Further more, the music was LOUD and the booths are full of great vibrations. :) Great company doesn't hurt either, grab your bestest and head there soon.

I really love Paragon Restaurant and Bar. - if you're wondering, it is a small space! Tons of great drinks and you don't want to miss out their live band. You can feel the music. It is a classic and trendy place with a nice fireplace. They have a bar and eating table. If you want to find a place to sit here at night, come early. *Parking - Pretty sucky, but we were lucky and found a spot in the neighborhood, a couple of blocks away. *Food? - Full menu, their food is tasty. Friendly, attentive staff even when super busy night. They wrote back and forth on papers even the bartender had paper and pen ready when I was about to order a drink. In the past, they used to have a deaf chef, Kurt Irish Chef Ramborger. The owner has some knowledge about deaf culture because of the deaf chef. Also I used to go there every week before I moved to California. Every time I visit Seattle, I always make sure I have a free night for Paragon! The reason I didn't put 5 stars is because sometime their service is slow. It doesn't happen often. I still highly recommend for you go to check this place out.
