I was SO happy to find an ASL using dentist that I could go in once a year for cleaning! No more awkward poking and pointing. I was able to finally learn more about my teeth's current condition through Dr. Bart more than I have in the entire 27 years of going to the dentist (and 4 of them were in braces!). He's on my to-go-to list for any teeth concerns or just a simple cleaning.
Dr. Bart Johnson is THE. BEST. DENTIST. EVER!!! Not only does he provide you with top quality professional dental care, but he also is hilarious AND fluent in ASL. I'm never leaving Seattle because of him! Seriously!
I learned about this place from one of my close friends and he said this dentist, Dr. Bart Johnson knows ASL and great with deaf patients. I decided to check this place out. It turned out best dentist experience ever I had in my whole life! It was really great to have dentist who can sign well so we can discuss my teeth situation without having an interpreter or write it down on the paper. I also had two hygienists and don't know signs but also really good with deaf patients too. Unlike my experiences at all other dentist offices I had in my entire life are very educated by how to work with deaf patients. They did fantastic job on both customer service and took great care of my teeth! I can't wait to come back within 6 months for my teeth cleaning! I highly recommend this place!
What a treat it is to go to the dentist, Dr. Bart Johnson that can communicate in ASL and is very patient in explaining procedures to me. It is always refreshing to have a dental hygienist, Seng who is comfortable using gestures to communicate when lip reading isn't feasible and both of them bring humor into the room. It is also nice to be able to make appointments on-line as well!
