Queen Bee Cafe

Every time I come here, the customer service keeps getting better and better. Both male baristas were easy and flexible to my communication needs of pen and paper. They were both friendly and signed Thank You on my way out.

Le Petit Chouette

Because I've been at Hearing, Speech, and Deafness Center (HSDC) so often in the past couple of weeks, I recently decided to make the 2-3 block walk to Queen Bee Café for lunch. Best decision ever: The lady who took my order immediately noticed that I'm deaf/HOH, and was super-patient in describing to me the difference between a crumpwich and a crumpette (she even showed me photos on her own smartphone). She brought my food/drink to me instead of calling my name, and signed THANK YOU to me. Way to train these guys to be #deaffriendly, HSDC! Additional: I love the thoughtful, well-lit décor ... especially the fact that they re-use their jelly/jam jars into cute flower vases. These details do not go unnoticed!

Placing an order here was a breeze. The cashier when learning I was deaf quickly grabbed pen and paper and allowed me to write my order down. She was very friendly and accommodating. She also brought my food and drink to me instead of trying to call out my name. Thumbs up Queen Bee!

StreetStreet

I've been to this place twice and and have never been disappointed with their services. They provided paper and pen to communicate my orders and signed thank you. Thank you, HSDC, for training them on how to become deaffriendly!
