My dilemma: A pair of broken eyeglasses that two other vision shops refused to repair, fearing they might irrevocably damage them. I was told to mail them to back to Taiwan or contact the manufacturer directly for a replacement part, then they'd send them to an out-of-state lab for repair. So bloody complicated, right?
Lee, a co-owner at Market Optical, took one look at my glasses and said he could fix it in no time (it took him about 10 min.). He started signing in basic ASL with me, which blew me away just as much as his craftsmanship!
"I've had deaf clients before, and felt that the fastest way for me to communicate with them would be for me to learn some signs," Lee explained, also adding he has some deaf family members.
There is an eye-glass technician named Lee who is skilled in basic ASL. He is very outgoing and willing to use what he knows to communicate. He was very friendly and helpful!
