Showed up and asked for captioning-viewing glasses, which they informed me that they had the last one working while all others were broken. Whew... Glad I didn't have a deaf buddy in tow as it would have been interesting... sharing... glasses...? However, the front office guy was absolutely professional and matter-of-fact with the situation. When the movie started, CC glasses wasn't working. Turned out they hadn't uploaded CC file and informed me that I was welcome to stay for the next showing on top of giving me five passes in lieu of all five people in the party (my family). While it was disappointing that I had no captioning after driving 20 miles just to catch the movie with CC, I was buoyed by their constant presence expressing their regret. Here's the tip: in the digital days that still changes very often (thus possibly making this tip outdated pretty quickly), they need to upload the captioning files to work alongside the movie and cannot do it in the middle of the movie. I do not know how it works in the manner of if they downloaded the CC file only once, would it work for however many movies it takes in the future or would the CC file have to be uploaded before each movie? Regardless, it may be an additional burden on deaf viewers, but be SURE to call ahead of time to ensure that it is prepped and ready to go for you! Three stars is what I would give them, but their absolute presence and focus on meeting my need at every step earned them another star.
