Looking for the right audiologist/hearing aid specialist can be a daunting experience. Try New York City. That can be an unpleasant challenge. I was so glad to find NYEEI and their staff. There are several offices and departments within this business - I use the Hearing Aid Dispensary (212-979-4166), located in the basement floor. They do a fantastic job of making sure I understand them. They were sensitive and not judgmental - working hard to ensure they found the right product to match my specific needs. My only note of advice is that they can take some time getting back to you - it is advisable to contact them consistently until you get a response. Once communication is established, they give you professional, considerate and supportive treatment. A big plus: this clinic is affiliated with a hospital; which means they can charge less for new hearing aids at wholesale prices, instead of expensive retail rates.
