On Dec. 16 I had an appointment for driver’s license renewal.  There was a gentleman at the door to confirm appointments and guide me to the digital check-in where  an assigned number was printed before I was seated.  A sign board above gave clear information when my number was called.  While the young man on the other side of the glass partition could not remove his mask so that I could lip read, my husband was beside me to assist, and I had paper and pen ready if needed.  I presented my audiologist-signed form so that I could have a deaf/HOH designation on my new license.  I was treated politely and given ample time to complete the transaction.   The only real difficulty was the usual echoing of all hard surfaces and large room,  which provides no smaller room apart to make it deaffriendly.  Public facilities need to work more to address this need in the future.
