I met up with a Deaf friend of mine to talk business the other night over dinner. Our server, Stephen, seeing that we were Deaf, came up to us with his cell phone up to his chest and as he was talking through his mask, live (and accurate!) text was being transcribed! What a pleasant surprise! Stephen was using the LiveTranscribe app. They have several TVs, most with captions on. Overall, a great Deaffriendly experience! For hard of hearing folks, it's a pretty noisy environment.

I expected the same experience as the original Diamond Knot location, yet they are different. They do not let customers throw peanut shells on the floor, which may provide a more deaf-blind friendly environment. It is also more well-lit as well. The place is bigger and more roomy, which allows for comfortable space to walk around without bumping into one another. Staff is friendly, and we can point at the menu in our hands to pick what we want to order for food/drinks. If they knew sign language, it would be helpful!
