Climate Pledge Arena

We got to go for Madonna's final tour of her whole career!  Climate Pledge Arena (CPA) had an ASL performer, Russell Harvard, come and sign Madonna's famous songs.  It was unbelievable!!  Purely organic accessibility! He and two other interpreters showed their heart and passion through Madonna's lyrics. I will never forget this concert, which had 2 of the BEST sign language interpreters and Russell Harvard!  This is a completely top-notch type of accessibility. I would love to see many concerts adopt this similar accessibility model to help grow deaf/HH's numbers in presence at those high-caliber concerts. There were even some CPA staff that even knew sign language and were easily able to communicate with us if we had any questions or needed anything. Greatly appreciated.

Wow! My experience at Climate Pledge was great. I requested ASL interpreters and they did a great job matching the interpreter to the music artist. They even had a Deaf performer which was incredibly satisfying. I really loved that they put a Deaf signing usher in the deaf section which made it super easy to communicate our needs such as where the restrooms and drinks were. There was a point where a couple of us got lost and she was very helpful in getting us back to our seats. I think the navigation or signage could be a little clearer, but overall it was a great experience and made me want to return again and again and again. I noticed that they had streamtext during the concert… although I didn’t get a chance to check it out. Next time.

As a deaf individual, I initially harbored hesitations and nerves regarding accessibility at the event.

However, I am delighted to share that my experience, alongside that of other deaf attendees, was nothing short of exceptional, setting a new standard for inclusivity.

The organizers demonstrated an unparalleled willingness to accommodate our needs by providing the right ASL interpreter for Madonna's performance based on our deaf community's request. This contributed significantly to our enjoyment of the evening, as we were able to fully engage with Madonna's music while having access to ASL lyrics.

Also, from the moment of our arrival, the seamless transition to Cove17 was executed flawlessly, without encountering any difficulties. This level of attention to accessibility is truly commendable and greatly appreciated.

Additionally, one feedback I would offer is that while we had access to ASL interpretation, we found it challenging to fully feel the vibrant beat of the music. I would recommend positioning the ASL interpreter and deaf attendees closer to the front to better sense the rhythm and energy of the performance, enhancing the overall experience for everyone involved

A group of friends and I went to see Seattle Storms on Deaf Awareness Night at Key Arena- what a night! Jeremy Quiroga signed the National Anthem, 2 interpreters, TV screens with closed captions- what a deaf friendly night! Thank you!

I came here for a sold out concert and was left impressed in every way. I requested a Sign Language Interpreter and they fulfilled this request with no problems. Being we made our request with plenty of time, they even allowed our deaf group a say in which preferred interpreters we wished to work with. They juggled all of our different seating arrangements around, found the best spot in the house where we would have visibility of the stage and interpreters and even set-up lights to shine on the interpreter so we could see them at times when the arena went dark. Not to mention, they are very experienced and comfortable with relay calls and email. Kudos to businesses who "get it"!
