Seattle, DeafNation Expo is Coming To Town!

We can’t help but brag about our own backyard. Not only does it boast stunning vistas, great software, and eye-popping coffee, it’s so deaf-friendly that it’s hosting DeafNation Expo once again. Almost-last, but not the least, DeafNation is nearing the end of its nine-city tour in Seattle this weekend. Haven’t had a chance to hob-nob with SuperDeafy, Sean Berdy, or Marlee Matlin at the Vegas DeafNation stop in August?

For most people, Vegas' code is simple: You win, some, and you (mostly) lose some. More than 25 years ago, Marilyn Smith took one of the biggest gambles of her life: She quit her job to start a non-profit to serve Deaf and Deaf-Blind victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse. Defying the odds at the DeafNation World Expo 2012 in Las Vegas, the Seattle founder and former Executive Director of ADWAS accepted the DeafNation Inspiration Award.
