University Book Store

Kate

We attended one of their book events last October when they had Author Jodi Picoult come to speak about her book, "A Spark of Light". An ASL request was made by at least one Deaf person from the large group of D/HH people who attended this event. From what I saw, University Book Store did a great job with coordinating the interpreters (2 of them), making sure we had reserved seats in the first two front rows, and they had us go in front of the line after the event so we didn't have to worry about the interpreters needing to leave if the event ran too long by the time it was our turn to meet the author. It was a really neat experience for me to get to meet Jodi Picoult once again and I was really pleased with how everything worked out well for our group. Thank you!
