There has been some staff changes in the last few years. One of their former vets was deaf-friendly so I was looking for a new vet that was deaf-friendly too after finding out about her departure. My friend mentioned someone that knew some sign language so I was excited to learn about it. I went in when my cat was sick and had a positive experience with Dr. Melissa Knutzen. She used some sign language, wrote on paper, and typed on the computer. She also used my dad to interpret but she seemed to prefer communicating directly with me to avoid any misunderstanding. So I appreciated that since I felt a bit more empowered being able to handle my cat's health instead of depending on someone else. Melissa also called me via relay service to leave a message about my cat and seemed to handle it well too. So I really appreciate everything that she did for me and making sure that I had access to the information I needed to help my kitty get better (which she did after getting the proper medical attention). Thank you!
