I finally got to try this place out after reading the previous review. WOW is all I can say! The food was so good, the decore dreamy (I felt like I was in the Chelsea market in NYC) and the server, Stephen? Really amazing! What impressed me most was Stephen's flexibility in communicating. When he realized speech reading wasn't working out, he wrote things down. He stuck with this method the entire time and continued to write everything down that was needed. So many people try to resort back to talking, but Stephen got it right away and the result was, everyone was understood and no frustrating struggles to communicate. ;) Kudos to Stephen for providing excelled deaf-friendly service. I'll be back!
My deaf friends and I went to check out the new restaurant. The wait was worth it and they were willing to text us when the table was ready. They use their personal cell phone to text us which we appreciate their effort in doing this. When we were eating, I informed my friends that the owner, Renee Erickson, was next to us as she was with her friends. She noticed our signing. She approached us after we had our dessert in what we think of the food and service. We praised the food and gave her several suggestions in how to communicate with deaf people which she gladly listened.
