Indigo

Local Tasters

Indigo is one of the hidden gems in D.C.! They make various Indian dishes and you can even choose 2 or 3 sides for one meal for the same price. The place is quite small and it also has extra space in the patio. Prior to ordering at the front, they'd pull out pen and paper for you to jot down your food selection - but to make things convenient, I'd type my order on my phone then show it to them. Then they would deliver the food personally - they usually call the numbers but since it's close to Gallaudet University, they are aware of Deaf customers. Great food + great service!

Ernest

The Indian cuisine! I absolutely love it very much. They are very friendly and deaf-friendly! They always ready to use pen and paper to communicate and create an order. They are expert in gesturing as well. They acknowledged that I am Deaf and will delivery the order to me directly without shout the number of order. I appreciated their adaptability.
