The Heathman Hotel Kirkland


Everything about this hotel was so easy, accessible and deaf-friendly. When I checked in, they had all the typical front desk questions written out so it was easy to communicate, especially behind maks. The man helping me at the front desk also knew a little sign langauge. Inside my room I had an ADA kit which was already set up. Almost everything I needed was in that kit. Everyone I came across was aware of my communication challenges and still made an effort to be pleasant and engaging using gestures and written notes. The best thing about my stay? I didn't have to go to the front desk to order room service!! This hotel allows you to text your in-room needs. That alone will make me come back for more stays and recommend this hotel to other deaf and hard of hearing friends!
